I will introduce you to the top 3 shipping companies in Mexico.
The number one among top operators is MSC.
Msc is a Swiss company that ranks first in terms of cargo volume worldwide.
MSC has been mainly strong in Europe so far, but since the beginning of this year, it is a shipping company that has been strong in shipping from Mexico to WCSA and from Asia to the Americas.
We are currently continuing to purchase ships and are aggressively marketing to customers at low unit prices through our large-scale infrastructure.
A shipping alliance between the world’s largest container lines had ended. This means there will be more opportunity, greater competition, and lower ocean shipping rates. Maersk and MSC announced that they no longer plan to continue their 2M alliance. The alliance is due to expire in 2025.
Therefore, from 2025, MSC plans to focus more on shipping and further develop its expertise.
Next shipping company to be introduced is MAERSK.
MAERSK is a Danish shipping company and one of the top five companies in the world.(2nd Operator)
Maersk is also a member of 2M, and the contract is valid until 2025.
Maersk is moving to expand its role as a FORWARDER through its END TO END service, including shipping, customs clearance, land, air, and warehouse, and is emerging as a strong rival to most FORWARDERS. In Mexico, it previously subleased truckers in land transportation, but this year We are planning to transport our own vehicles from the end of the year (currently not confirmed).
This year, MAERSK integrated HAMBURG SUD and SEALAND (services in Central and South America) into MAERSK.
The next shipping company I would like to introduce is CMA.
CMA is a French company, and is currently actively exporting and importing from Mexico. CMA has a logistics subsidiary called CEVA LOGISTICS. CMA is currently doing a lot of business in cargo transportation using the aircraft they operate.
CMA’s LNG-powered ship entered Manzanillo in June of this year.
CMA also mentions that it plans to focus more on maritime operations in Mexico
